Revelations of Wars
By Pamarty Venkataramana
Woe to all Earthlings. Wow to all political animals. For, the infectious innocence of children is lost. And, all distilled wisdom of the older people has apparently disappeared.
1. Spirituality :
This has long ago been relegated to be housed only in the inner recesses of Blessed Minds.
2. Technology :
It has brought in precision,mass-scale brain-washing techniques predominantly through video games and apps in hand phone sets that let adrenaline flow free – although if only via virtual warfare situations.
There is no ambiguity about a fad and trend set to bask in the self-effacing glory of hero-worshipping mostly those who would hold the guns in a uniformed career or on the celluloid screen compared to those who dream and sacrifice their daily bliss of being alive to prefer medicine, law or fine arts as an honorable pursuit in life.
3. Economics :
The ultimate casualty of all wars. Hospitals, educational institutions, commercial establishments, industrial units, hawkers, coolies, traders – all take a hit.
Spiralling prices. Uncontrollable deficits. And, artificial scarcity encounters actual scarcities of essential goods and other commodities. Everybody bleeds.
4. Victors :
There is never a victor in a war : all lose out. In one way or the other.
As a tribute to everyone undergoing the untold mental agony of bereavement and orphaned by wars unleashed by obstinancy of powers that be, let us today, watch “I DRAW MY LIFE – AMELI (English subtitles)” on YouTube.
5. Peace at War :
Anachronistic as it might seem,a status quo scenario always tends to result in only ennui, friction and a total loss of focus. Hence, a war everytime the systematic collapse of institutional governance occurs could become a panacea and a catalyst for re-set and growth of non-warring parties.
Perhaps this is also the reason why most politicians seem to be blind and deaf to cries of anguished poverty and joblessness of millions of compatriots : they seem to fear that if at all the egalitarian goal of an Utopian society was achieved, there would be more discontentment and unrest in minds of a section of plural societies where every happy ‘full-belly’ develops a disregard for pathos of less fortunate equals on Earth.
6 . Books are Light of knowledge, not Fanaticism :
Has no Book that rules mindsets and life of people who live by code-books ever revealed the ultimate truth that peaceful co-existence and precept of – ‘vasudaiva kutumbikam’ can never lead to wars but that no War can ever be peaceful? Fanaticism is banal.
7 . To what purpose Theology Books?
Why would there arise a need for a separate Constitution and elected leaders aders if these Books of Religion or their proponents righteously practiced what was preached by the founders and prophets?
As the ongoing conflagration of #UkraineRussiaWar raises it’s ugly head of tragic casualties all around the theatre of war, may all World scream in unison – #GivePeaceAChance .
