Why Modi-opposition camp, secular(?) intellectuals, TRP hungry media should have missed this big opportunity to inflict injury on Modi government? After all, such elements live to serve minority in this country. At the same time, they don’t bother for rest of the country, in my view. It looks that concerned MPs’ action was never meant to hurt Muslim’s feeling but their act can’t be justified. But at the same time, giving anti-muslim color is also not justified.
The other day, when opposition cornered government on Philistine issue, Ms. Sushma Swraj rightly asked that in 2008 when CPI/CPM were UPA partner & Israel stared attacking Gaza, why they did not asked then UPA government not to purchase arsenals from Israel? If they failed to do so then why they are now pressing NDA not to purchase weapons from Israel? (SS reply in RS) However, let us remember that Governments are temporary but governance is permanent. Hence NDA too has to maintain the foreign policy nurturing the best interest of the country. It should maintain the equidistance from Palestine & Israel. After all Palestine is India’s old friend who always failed to support India on Kashmir issue.
But this issue is old one. Let us talk something which has happened now. Let us talk about ISIS. The way ISIS is killing Shias in Iraq in most mercilessly manner, has no parallel in contemporary history. That should be condemned by all. Or do you think we should not condemn ISIS? India may have her own limitation in doing so. She has petrol & her citizen safety issue in Iraq, due to which the government may not do so. But I want to know through this blog, what limitation our media friends, secular intellectuals, & especially Muslim societies have due to which they never condemned ISIS in the same language as they use for Israel? A token dharna at Jantar Mantar is not enough. Why opposition parties did not raised this issue in parliament & stopped its functions? Now don’t tell me what purpose would serve if parliament is stopped? Sirs, if nothing happens then why parliament was stopped over Philistine issue?
Ok, let us drop this issue too. Let us talk about Sunni theologian Maulana Salman Nadvi of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama who has written an open letter asking the Saudi government to prepare an army of five lakh Indian Sunni Muslim youths to fight Shias in Iraq and elsewhere in the world. Good, Very Good. Dear Maulana Sahib! If you are so much passionate, why you never raised any sort of such army to fight terrorism in India? And Sir, why you did not asked such army to fight Israel on behalf of Palestinians in Gaza Patti?
Is it not duty of our all political, non-political, common citizen and especially Muslim society to condemn such foolish & violet thought at the very first place? Why don’t our own brother who are always first & foremost in condemning NDA government & Israel over Gaza issue, ask Maulana Salman Nadvi strong questions? What has happened to 64 Sirs? Why don’t they now write US President to take action against Maulana Salman Nadvi & ISIS? Where is our media, expert in putting spice of communal color in the smallest issue pertaining to Hindus? Where are Ravish Kumar, Arnav Goswami, Barkha Dutt who are always eager to interview in particular way? MPs Sirs, you rightly put pressure on government over Vaidik interview with Hafiz. But you should ask tough question from theologian Maulana Salman Nadvi & press government to take strongest possible action against Maulana Salman Nadvi? Please speak up now before it is too late.
Perhaps you may not ask. Ok I will ask. Sir Maulana Salman Nadvi Saheb! Will you please explain us what crime our Shia brothers have done due to which you want to illuminate them? Why you never arranged an army to fight Israel in Gaza Patti or fight against terrorist in India? Sir, if you are serious enough to harm Shia then try doing that during Modi government time. By God, this Modi government will turn you in a hopping monkey.
In fact I am ashamed of all those who speak on behalf of society & religion. Such elements may be related to any group or party but they have something very common. They always their own interest over & above of the nation & society that the cost of general public. Dear Sirs! Please come out of such selfish nature. Think about country & society first. And if you can’t do that, get out of our sight & find some other place for you.
