Internal squabbling of a particular joint Hindu unfinished family that act as proxies for Muslim fundamentalists and goons of the land is deemed politics in a certain state in the northern belt of the country.
Harping on Dalit factor, a long forgotten state of existence god she who has risen virtually from squalor and dirt to the high flying ability to charter an aeroplane to fetch a pair of chappals from Mumbai as the presiding chief minister of that very largest State of the country is damn-sure politics for this woman leader.
Visiting hut-dwellers and undeveloped areas with promise of changing their lot in the name of dead and gone predecessors in power is the unique pitch of politics for an uncrowned scion of politics in hinterland of the State.
A magical utterance of invocation of mighty lord Shree Rama, epitome of virtuosity, religiosity and righteousness in governance has become the single attraction of the other nationalist political outfit which has risen from being a two-members one to running the nation through grace of the power in the slogan of mantra for good future and Achey din to a vote cast for good governance.
And then there are the red herrings in a peoples’ democracy ,the so-called communists who have never seen power in peace loving, law taken into own hands State but never allow any single major party to garner their naya paisa worth of public trust.
Added to the whole bench are few Demi gods like local satraps who contest on self styled ‘independent’- tickets to later merge with whosoever forms a government. Compounded to this state of public affairs is a network of gangsters, vagabonds and out rightly corrupt officials of various levels, posts and duties who act as jerks of the society.
This is the dirty, murky state of countless tragedies, hopes belied and promises forgotten eternally, over the last seven decades …
It is a State large enough to be split into seven separate States addressing the aspirations of local belts and different regions and more importantly, for ease of administration as also convenience in checking the perennial law and order problems encountering the prestigious State which returns the largest number of peoples ‘ representatives to the August Houses of Parliament.
What makes this State a State?
Is it language of many dialects?
Is it hereditary political dispensation continuing unabated since 1947?
Is it controversial appointments of government servants to public positions of power?
Is it rampant disorderliness observed in social life?
Is it a one-upmanship gene of politics exhibited commonly among electorate?
Is it sheer callousness of the general public to kowtow to tyranny, mischief, rowdyism and might is right syndrome?
Is it inability of a national government to check spread of illegal arms and ammunition factories, illicit hooch dens and evil at play?
Is it disorder and anarchy in psyche of a common man ?
What ails is known, to one and all.
What is the prescription is not unknown either.
Who can relieve the State of the criminality?
Ponder.
Introspect.
Prove.
Vote right.
End chaos.
Rebuild Uttar Pradesh. It is no Kashmir. Nor, the Gaza Strip.

what makes this State as a State? is aptly answered by the author & in our considered view, the sum total of all reasons ademberated.
Having said that, it is in the hands of Public to get this state out of the present mess, that they brought it upon themselves.
