‘ India,that is Bharat! ‘

Temples defied. Idols desecrated. Sadhus lynched. Hindus wronged repeatedly. Hinduism under attack.

Ornaments and precious,antique jewellery stolen from a sanctum sanctorum. Priests starving. Puja rituals being given a bypass.

Bharat is from a bygone era. India is a leftover from colonial arrogance and excesses. #NewIndia is the future the present Covid-19 hit nation seeks to carve out as soon as possible.

Chariots on fire.

A Bureaucrat in police uniform appointed by virtue of a Catholic caste based reservation policy forcing the priest of a Hanuman Temple in Uttar Pradesh to place portrait of Jesus Christ besides idol and only then offer the public Aarti.

Many Pastors of Protestant Christian Faith of their different denominations adopt and ‘photoshop’ Jesus Christ & Mother Mary to match & mix up with the Hindu pantheon of deities and then, these ‘vulture pastors’ goad upon their flock to worship such a neo- desi adaptation of the Virgin Mary tenets of brotherhood.

Leading representatives of the Shia sect of Islam claiming Lord Rama was a paigambar (prophet) before the last  Prophet-Muhammed came to be born.

Wahabi – Sunni sect of Islam having followers who spew venom against Bharatmatha and decry singing of the National Anthem  (Jana Gana Mana ) and the National Song (Vandey Maatharam ).

Jains and Sikhs happily utilising the freedom clauses applicable for a HUF ( Hindu Undivided Family) albeit gaining recognition as a separate Religion, distinct from the Mother Religion- Hindu.

Buddhists claiming allegiance more to lands of the Far East even though India has stood by through thick and thin, providing asylum to their supreme Guru, the Dalai Lama invoking wrath of the most dangerous foe, China largely on account of this very act. And, even though Buddhism is another off-shoot of Hinduism.

What ails this plural society?

It is true that all Indians co-exist as peace-loving citizens (irrespective of personal habits and religious beliefs) so long as their political leaders or the unbridled mass-media do not rouse negative behaviour and as long as crazy mobs do not take over sanity of the general public in the ‘People’s Republic’.

Even overseas, Indians and their long-lost cousins, the Pakistanis or the Bangladeshis are most friendly and do not exhibit any animosity towards one another-be it in the UAE or UK, USA or elsewhere.

The vagabond local generals of colonial Britain had cast the dice when they sowed  the seeds of discord, mistrust and fanaticism in a happy ‘One Bharat’ with the rumours of cartridges being made out of cow-hide to the Hindu soldiers and as being made out of pig-hide to the Moslem soldiers : even as both were fighting shoulder-to-shoulder,for the British subjugators.

Today, it is a most suspicious case of a Christian State Chief turning a Nelson’s eye to destruction of Hindu religious symbols by hoodlums.

Or, of a fanatical opposition trying to break the law and order through acts of sacrilege resulting in a further division of vote banks – ultimately benefitting the minority card-wielding ‘venom-spewing’ monopoly dictatorial leadership of the Muslims in that region and spread the slow poison across the rest of the country.

The tale of ‘communal-riots’ in India is nothing other than the classic Panchatantra tale of the crafty monkey gobbling the piece of bread and two warring cats losing out equally. Mass media has developed a wrong and vicious habit of portraying it as a Hindu versus Muslim conflagration whereas it is the Christianity versus Islam crusade being enacted, extended and carried out across India. Western media has been aped by desi local media who are vocal to be patted on their back by firangi ‘dollar-pound paymasters’. This fallacious trend should be put to an end. Call a spade and muster the courage to condemn mischief by Christian missionary moles in spearheading the mistrust between the other major religions of Bharatvarsh!

The Himalayan blunder!

The departing Britishers had left vast tracts of estates & immovable properties to the Christian Churches. They were economically strong and grew stronger.

The Muslims had their Waqf and unwritten free run. Muslims grew economically stronger over the decades since the benevolent (Mr.Vajpayee)-External Affairs Minister in the Janta Government opened up free visas to the Gulf for them.

Political bargaining power rose enormously in the result almost making the best of both worlds: enjoying freebies and privileges in India; earning free passage to places & positions and claiming equal consideration for majority (otherwise deprived Hindu compatriots).

Only Hindu temples and their Hundi revenue were under the control of the State. No other religion.

Usher in an uniform civil code without further waste of time. Let the 303 MPs absolute majority Parliament at least pilot a comprehensive Bill to enact an Uniform Civil Code, immediately.

As crucial is for the stranglehold of the State over Hindu Temple affairs to be removed at once. Free Temples from stranglehold of the bureaucracy :  in keeping with the Constitution of India.

Knit India into One Equal Nation.

There is nothing wrong about setting right wrongs meted out to ‘India, that is Bharat’.

Let the juggernaut of Respect accorded to foreign Faiths and converted Citizens be pulled ahead by those very fellow citizens who have derived countless, invaluable benefits in the last seven decades – for the good of their benefactors, the Hindus as well.

Constitution demands justice to be afforded for the majority population as much as it allows the minorities to reap benefits of living as protected citizens – in a free & equal Nation. 

Is this asking for anything contrary to Humanitarian and Democratic principles espoused by the modern World? Not at all.

Unless we discuss the truth and circumstances surrounding the detailed governance systems, we cannot design a new structure to rebuild our harmonious ecosystem of every Indian citizen living in total harmony – as ever before the goras invaded and created fissiparous tendencies in order to conceal their sins of loot, hatred and slavery.

The Queen of England is a living witness to the desecration of Hindustan and we do not seek an apology from her today for the historic crime and genocide perpetrated. But, we can surely call upon our pro-Nation dispensation of the day to enact an Uniform Civil Code at once and help restore the pride and glory of India being an amalgam of all religions, languages, sects, castles and practices which only seek to worship Mother Nature and sing the Praises of Almighty : an Universal Force to reckon with.
