Babylonians of India
Democracy is not chaos.
People own the systems. The systems are manned by humane policies that are laid down by well thought out, deliberated and enacted Laws which aim at maintaining orderliness for well-being as well as Peace of all citizens.
Neither an anarchist nor the wayward and vagabond set of people in a large country can hold the entire population to ransom. A few brakes applied, loud sighs heaved, the huge edifice of a Government rolls on its wheels, well oiled by a disciplined administration, erudite judiciary and conscientious think-tank .
So, none can sabotage the actual fabric of the democracy itself.
More so, in an age where Social media is the vigilante, ubiquitous in presence & eternal in focus; when the oddball-leader of a constituency screams ‘murder’ even as he patronises & thrives upon the war-gangs which embellish his existence, courage & strength. This is also the period when even toddlers seem ‘tech-savvy’ playing with smartphones and tabs on laptops, vociferously ignoring the toys of wood … In short, this is the era of Knowledge,Awareness and Peace.
Anachronistic as it might seem, we in India, are actually headed for the age of development . . .
All the scams of the previous regimes were exposed to the voters in the grass-root level as well as the creamy layers of society leading to a trouncing of that whole bunch of coalition – parties. NAMo, the man of destiny received a 31% of total votes polled but emerged as the ‘Choice of Nation’ and assumed office as the Prime Minister .
The worst loser was the oldest political party of the country, the Indian national Congress that failed to even qualify for donning told if a ‘leader of opposition’ in the Lower House of Parliament, the Lok Sabha. The hitchhiker, Aam Adami party was shown it’s place as an also-ran & pseudo-party : more as a clown or clone of the Congress. Who acted as a side-kick to throw the public glare away from deserving punishment for misgovernance full of criminal offences, loosely termed ‘scams’. Communists were, like most other regional parties, thrown out as being of no consequence to NAMo’s challenge to all the Golaiaths & poll-pundits that did not imagine even in their wildest dreams of a free India being freed from shackles of ‘mental slavery’ even six decades after ‘political freedom’ attained from the British yoke.
So, dharnas and candle marches nor lawless acts by paid criminals cannot halt the juggernaut of democracy . In the result, the villains of a plural nation began to invoke the tribe of ‘secularists’ & so-dubbed Main stream media (MSM) to try and incite lesser minds, weaker hearts and gullible masses into creating the hyperbole -bubble of panic, mass-hysteria and fear-psychosis. Provocative-speeches became a style of politics with a certain mischievous element who claims to be representing all of ‘Minority’ though he hails from a smaller constituency.
The MSM and the bawling politico scratch each other’s back and their flock of muted ‘chamchas'(sycophants) applaud. Over ‘one-by-two’ cups of iraani-chai or pegs of alcoholic mixtures. Or, in op-ed columns and blogs sponsored by ghost-writers and their patrons. What happens?
The din and the noise becomes a public nuisance. Traffic on Social-media increases.Adrenaline flows more rapid than the Rapids of Earth. Television newscasts and debates called talk-shows become as hilarious and banal as can be. Unimaginable. The levels to which the desperate and the defeated stoop to: the erstwhile ‘patron-Saint of a whole nation’ (a political party like Congress ) cries, wails and screams hoarse over the ‘boat-of-fire’ episode. Is it sheer madness of a bad loser or is it total bankruptcy of thought and patriotism on part of these howlers that causes these histrionic-displays ?
Then, there was the ghar-Wapasi epidemic which was prevented by a most astute politician that NAMo is : he did not permit himself to be dragged into wrongly making any statement in Parliament, either condemning the condemnations or siding the upholders of equal-rights.
Here is reflected the good news of – ‘Achey dinn aaney waaley hain’ prediction!

Jai hind!
Very apt assessment and appreciation of the National scene and NaMo. He is a rare find and has come just in time. Can he build safeguards against the ills of the past 60 odd years ?
I couldn’t agree more w/ ,and I quote,
“The hitchhiker, Aam Adami party was shown it’s place as an also-ran & pseudo-party : more as a clown or clone of the Congress. Who acted as a side-kick to throw the public glare away from deserving punishment for mis governance full of criminal offences, loosely termed ‘scams’. ”
